My friend, Tom, forwarded this animation yesterday. Titled “A Brief History of Pretty Much Everything,” the flipbook animation, which took three weeks to complete, was drawn entirely with ballpoint pen on 2,100 pages in 50 legal pads and set to Jacques Offenbach’s stirring French Cancan. Pretty amazing.
It’s almost Valentine’s Day and I am without a Valentine. But this shouldn’t stop me from getting to know what love is and what it means to me…
Love, in its early stage, makes your heart race, makes your temperature rise and makes you lose track of time.
Love, in its intermediary stage, makes you want to be a better person, makes you put a smile on your face, and naturally, you find yourself replacing “I” with “We”. You are excited to share your days and to be an attentive listener, every conversation you have with each other and every conversation is invigorating and memorable. Every touch is electrical and every kiss makes you wanting more.
Love, in its deepest, makes you gain a sense of confidence, knowing you are not walking on the lonely earth alone. Love, in its deepest, transform your attitudes, your believing system and makes you for willing to accept new challenges and forgiving. Love, in its deepest, is unconditional.
